Be sure to watch this fantastic animation (3:31)–and see how time passes, even in a “music box”
Director Uri Lotan, joined by a group of talented artists, brings us this delightful animation that features a tiny wooden doll. While she never ages, time is not standing still. (Keep an eye on the young couple on the bench, for example.)
Despite not being able to understand the words, we found ourselves captivated by what was happening on the screen. The details of the various characters (love the dalmation running his kid) and the mechanics of the box. The level of skill and creativity is great in this short and whimsical piece.
His past experience includes working as an animator on the film Hotel Transylvania 2.
Uri worked as an animator for Pixar and Disney. You can see some of his demoreel work here.
